Jem and The Holograms was an American animated television series that ran from 1985-1988 ,directed by Jay Bacal and Ray Lee.

The television show is about a singer name Jem, the alias of Jerrica Benton and the daughter of a music executive who after the death should rightfully be in charge of the company Starlight music and the Starlight foundation.Jerrica Benton's father left her a very special gift after he died. That gift was Synergy, a holographic computer system that can create realistic holograms of virtually anything. Using special star-shaped earrings, Synergy transforms Jerrica into the glamorous pop singer, Jem. Other members of the group are Jerrica's little sister Kimber, Aja, and Shana whom are called the Holograms.It is an animated series that celebrates the power of love, friendship and ambition and rock 'n roll.

The series shows their encounters with many sabotage plans. Impossible dangers and personal lives like with their heartbreaks.
