The Cosby Show DVD

The Cosby Show, an American TV series that ran from 1984 to 1992. Starring Bill Cosby, the series was first aired on September 20, 1984 and ran for eight seasons on NBC television network, until April 30, 1992.

Bill Cosby, having a great deal of ingenious control over the show, which was unusual for a star at that time but has become ordinary now. He wanted the program to be educational and entertaining, reflecting Cosby's background in education: he was credited as "William H. Cosby, Jr., Ed. D" at the beginning of each program, referencing his doctoral degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts. He also insisted that the program be taped in New York City rather than Los Angeles, where the most television programs were taped. The setting took place at NY, Brooklyn.
