The Felony Squad was debuted on the 12th of September 1966 and ended on the 31st of January 1969. It has three (3) seasons with seventy-three (73) episodes. The series was filmed in Los Angeles. It follows the exploits of the two detectives namely Sgt. Sam Stone and Jim Briggs.
The two detectives was sent by Captain Nye out on the streets for them to solve crimes. Sgt. Sam Stone was played by Howard Duff, the veteran who was teaching his rookie partner in the new aspect of police work. Detective Jim Briggs played by Dennis Cole was the up and coming rookie. Joining them was Jim's desk sergeant father Dan Briggs played by Ben Alexander.
