The Sentinel DVD

The Sentinel was a crime drama television series that centered on former US Army Special Forces turned Cascade PD Dectective James Ellision (Richard Burgi), who suddenly found himself with enhanced senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch) several years after a mission in the Peruvian Jungle. Searching for answers, he comes accross university anthropologist Blair Sandburg (Garett Maggart) who then helps him control and understand his hightened senses as he fight against crime in the city of Cascade. He is also supported by captain and friend Simon Banks (Bruce Young).

The Sentinel aired on UPN for four seasons (65 spisodes) from March 20,1996 to May 24, 1999. The series was suppose to end in it's third season with a big cliffhanger episode as its series finale, but UPN gave the series another half a season due to insistent public demand - for a proper ending.
